John William spent the summers and holidays of his youth in Knowlton, swimming and sailing the summer away and skiing the Glen through the colder times.
As a young adult he ventured down-under to Australia to Sydney, where he worked his way through his Bachelors of Fine art Photography, Masters of Art, and then Masters Art Administration. Interspersed with the academics were myriads of photographic and artistic exploits and adventures.
Sadly, 2009 saw the end of the Auzzie adventures and John William found himself back in Montreal. At some point, John William was spending more time back in Knowlton than Montreal, and a move was planned.
